Drumroll please….It is with much fanfare and a few sneaky happy dances that we announce the launch of our new look Byzantine Design showroom.  The space is so much more than a shop that sells tiles.  From its inception, we were driven by a passion for design and doing things differently, within the surfaces industry.  Our beautiful new space has taken this ethos one step further by creating an inspirational and collaborative environment.

Byzantine Design is able to provide exquisite surface solutions from the front gate to the pool and back fence, and all the surfaces in between.  Our design team has the experience and expertise to assist clients with projects that incorporate our range of indoor and outdoor stones, handmade tiles, and more. We now offer a selection of sisal, and added a lot more outdoor products like Crazy pave for pools, new pool tiles and exquisite Terrazzo from Fibonacci stone.

From the moment you reach us at 256 High Street Prahran, you are faced with a bespoke urban art design that has incorporated our Byzantine logo.  Upon entering our gallery-like space, you will see we do things in a special way.  We encourage a hands-on approach to exploring our selection, as opposed to an austere venue that makes you nervous to speak above a whisper. Our jewel-like glass cases draw the eye to the extensive range of stone and tiling options and to raw materials displayed in an invitingly textural way. It is the attention to detail and care for the finished and refined project that makes us the go-to choice for those looking for more than just a traditional tile shop.

As the industry recommendations and magazine coverage has grown during the 2+ years in our bricks and mortar base, so too has the Byzantine Design team. In terms of creative experience and industry knowledge, we share over 45 years industry experience!

Our team brings a depth of skill and enthusiasm that is truly contagious. Far from being new kids on the block, between the five of us, we have over 100 years’ industry experience. We would love to work with you, whether you are a renovation novice, architect or a design industry doyenne.  Whether your style leans to conservative or quirky, minimalist or maximalist, we have so many options available, and are able to assist you filter your mood boards, Instagram, Pinterest and magazine tear outs to help you realise your dream space.  We are also proficient in commercial spaces and enjoy working on hospitality fitouts.
